AIM HIGHER – Sindy is a student at Humboldt State University, and in May 2015, she will graduate with a degree in Sociology. She wants to be more than a social worker, though. Her dreams include policy making and instituting significant reforms within the field of child welfare.
AIM HIGHER – Damien says that the best job title he ever had was “High School Explainer” at the San Francisco Exploratorium. He got to run hands-on science demonstrations for children and families. “They would ask, ‘What’s this?’ and I would be able to break it down for them.
AIM HIGHER – Ronal enjoys making up stories with her two-year-old son. Like many mothers, she reads to him, especially superhero stories with Spiderman, Superman, and Batman.
AIM HIGHER – Hassan learned through his childhood in foster care that no matter what happens in life, it’s important to just keep going step by step. He wants to help as many people as possible, and he has a plan in place – step after step.

AIM HIGHER – Since August 2012 Foster Care to Success alumnus Valerie has been living in Florence, Italy working as an architect, teaching, and traveling throughout Europe.
